I have been attending a Creative Writing Workshop held at my local Library every Monday morning, where over the past few years I have experimented with developing my writing style. I have dabbled in prose, but find I more naturally gravitate to writing poetry. The exercises in class usually focus on an object or phrase for us to use as a starting point, a springboard for our creative juices.
To describe my style, I would say that I try to capture the essence of a moment, of a memory, that tip of the iceberg.
